SENIOR Copywriter / digital channels (freelance)

The company you will work for:

• is based in Brussels
• is a financial institution

They launched a major initiative towards the renewal of its public website being a strategic arm of its global digital strategy. Therefore they are looking for a bright copywriter to join the team.

You will be responsible for:

• Handling certain content packages and (re)writing them into copy that is adapted to different digital carriers (such as smartphone, tablet and laptop/desktop) and ensuring this copy is delivered in time
• Using your knowledge on SEO to make the delivered content as SEO proof as possible, making the information easy to find
• Ensuring a good communication from his/her side to the other direct stakeholders (other copywriters, project manager…) and within the team
• Translating/challenging original briefings into the required content
• Translating work other copywriters into own native language
• In close contact with the Project Manager of this stream, coaching small teams of other copywriters (up to 4 persons) and coordinating the work of the small team
• Coaching aspect towards other copywriters in writing copy for digital channels that is SEO optimized
• Quality review skills of other copywriting work

We are looking for an experienced copywriter (min. 6 years).

Must have:

• You are a native Dutch speaker with good knowledge of written French. OR you are a native French speaker with a good knowledge of written Dutch.
• You should be fluent in translation French to Dutch or Dutch to French.
• Strict discipline to write in a fairly strict canvas and templates with a strict definition of length, approach and style.
• Proven experience in writing for digital media (web and (preferred) mobile). Ability to translate content to different digital touch points (PC, iPhone, iPad, …)
• Search Engine Optimized (SEO) writing experience. Knowledge of Metadata, metatags, .... .
• Social media writing skills.

Nice to have:

• Preferred to have coaching experience
• Preferred to have small team coordinating experience
• Visual copywriting skills is a plus

Fulltime freelance assignment

Duration: minimum 6 months
Start date: 15th of July
