Quality Assurance and release Engineer - Brussels

The story started in 2004 when a couple of friends were passionate about a project. They spent every spare minute on it. In 2008 they decided that they had to take the next step and hired 2 developers to re-inforce the team and in 2010 the success sory started.
They launched an easy to use, web based Visitor management tool that still amazes the users.
To continue their growth with the focus on quality, they are looking for a Quality Assurance and Release Engineer.

As quality Assurance and release engineer, you will ensure optimum quality of the application by participating in the product development and the support of the processes.
You will be responsible for:
- the test strategy, planning, coordination and documentation.
- the execution of the testing of the product.
- the implementation of testing tools and processes.
- the creation of detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases (from scratch, user feedback, business requirements or production errors).
- designing, developing and execution of automation scripts using appropriate tools.
- the tracking of bugs and resolution in appropriate tracking software
- continuously refine your tests because you’re never satisfied that you’ve covered enough.
- writing of technical parts of product documentation, including the compatibility aspects
- drive teams to continuously maintain high product quality and improve the process.
- communicate frequently with developers regarding test outcomes.
- Intervene as 2nd line of support on technical issues involving compatibility or network issues (together with a client success team member)

You will be the “Voice of Quality” in the product development cycle.

Bachelor or Master in IT.
3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong knowledge of software, QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in Test Automation.
Experience in testing in web based applications.
Experience in writing clear and concise test plans and cases.
Knowledge of network configurations and tools ( IP, ping, https, firewall,...)
You are self driven and result oriented.
You can demonstrate design and UX sensibility.
Kwonledge of continuous databases and REST API interfaces.
You speak English, knowledge of Dutch/French is an asset.
You live in Belgium and have a Belgian residence permit.
